Top 10 most influential lore villians - Abandoned script

Note - This is an abandoned script and done in notepad with no spell check. And I'm real bad at spelling.

Top 10 most influential lore villians

Now what exactly even is an influential lore villian? well according to a deffinition I found online; Influence  is the power to change or affect someone or something : the power to cause changes without directly forcing them to happen. or a person or thing that affects someone or something in an important way. So for this list, we'll be focusing on people who have had affects on things in important ways. Now what exactly consitutes important anyway? well my dear viewer, I think I've already turned enough people away from the video with that little vocab lesson at the start so lets just dive into the list of 10 influential lore villians, super summurized. Because I dont really want to go into details.

    -10-sargeres
    -9-Yogg-saron
    -8-lich king
    -7-Hogger
    -6-azshara
    -5-deathwing
    -4-Kil'jeaden,Archimonde
    -3-Gul'dan
    -2-garrosh
    -1-illadan

-10-First off, I'll start with the most obvious lore villain, Sargers "the ereadar lord of the buring legion". Haha just kidding, hes actually a titan. So anyway, Sareras was this titan guy who took care of killing demons n such to keep order in the universe. But over time he came to relize the only constant in the universe was chaos and that he should embrace, not fight againt it. He then went about creating the burning legion and destroyed a lot of worlds n stuff.

Then about 10,000 years before the start of wow, in the war of the ancients, He got into contact with Queen Azshara and got her to try and summon him to azeroth. Summoning in wow lore takes a ton of power depending on how strong the person is that is being summoned. And since sargeres is like, the strongest of the strong it would take something like the well of eternty to make it happen.

So anyway, a big fight  broke out and the world was spilt into the 4 continents and everything was peachy. Then one day he was able to summon an avatar of himself to azeroth and it was defeated by the most powerful mage in history, err actually thats a depated topic, but thats another story for another time. Anyways,  he ended up taking control of medivh, who helped bring the orcs into azeroth and started the whole orcs vs humans thing.

Now I'll be mentioning sargeres a lot more later on in the list so thats why he kind of had to be number 10.

-9- Now for number 9 on this list, well I mean with sargeres at number 10 I can really just list the other lore villians in a random order now since no one can really top that. Thats why I'm gonna put an old god at number,9 the good ol Yogg-saron. Why yog and not the other old gods? good question. You see, the old gods are said to be a pretty good match for the titans, and could take control of sargeres easily if he ever did set foot on azeroth. So dont go thinking the titans are the strongest things ever. EVen though they kinda are, but people always like to bring up that one line from some book that says the old gods were able to kill a titan. Now what does that have to do with yogg? well nothing really, I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Yogg took part in the curse of flesh, the whole reason everyone on azeroth dont look like the mogu. But theres some debate as to weather or not the curse of flesh is even really that bad, as the Algalon encounter in Ulduar might suggest. So for now lets just skip that and go onto the 3 visions.

During the yog fight in uldar, you encounter 3 different visions inside the brain room.these visions show pivotal momenst in the history of Azeroth suggesting that Yogg might have
had some invovlment with these events.
-The first one being the Creation of the Dragon Soul by Deathwing and the Dragon Aspects which
resulted in the Sundering during the War of the Ancients.
-The second invovles King Llane's murder by Garona which resulted in the fall of Stormwind
and todays King Varian Wrynn's hatred towards the Horde.
-and third, Bolvar Fordragon being tortured by the Lich King

If yogg really was behind either of the first two events, then that easily gives him a spot on this list. And the vision with Bolvar and the lich kings I guess hints that he had some involvment with the lich king? I'm not sure I coulndt find any info on that. Which makes a great segway into number 8 on this list

-8- Number 8 is the lich king athas! man there is no way anyone else on this list from now on can really match the star power of sargeres, an old god, and everyones favorite villian. I should probably go back and re-werite this. nah, I'm pretty sure everyone will appertiate making all the obvious tops of the list come first. Now then, where should I get started with the lich king? that guys story is a hell of a doozey.

Oh, did you know the arthas is like the only deathknight to never die? Because on my zombie video, I think I get a comment about that fact every other day. Although thats jumping aheada little.

Arthas was a prince who went a little nuts trying to track down a dreadlord and became the lich king through a series of events that would take a really long time to explain. Then he killed a bunch of people and turned them into zombies, including 90% of the blood elf population. He then ran to northrend after being nearly killed by sylvanas, the coolest character in wow, and waited for the right expansion to make his next move.

The lich king is probably the strongest villian players can face in wow that wasnt super waekened before th fight. Well, actually that fact is debatable if you take the frozen heart quest chain into account. Plus its not like the players actually killed him anyway, it was totally a well written fluke that tirion got a sudden surge of holy power and was able to break his super sword with an equally powerful super sword.

-7- Now number 7 on this list is hogger. why hogger? well because hes kind of a joke villian that wow players love to insert everywhere. hes not an influencial lore villian at all, its just back in vanilla he was the first eleite mob human alliance players faced and talied up a big kill count as players weren't use to killing a mob that required a group of people so early in the game, and is kinda famous for that to alliance players as being the first mob they couldnt kill or got murdered several times attempting.

Now this would be a great number 10 option as he's pretty much a joke character, but I've found that if you start off with a strong, lesser known, intresting thing at number 10, something that would have otherwise been really good as a number 2 or 3 on an objective list, people are more inclined to watch the whole video rather than actually listing what would be a weak number 10. and then end off with something strong. So really everything from numbers 9 through 2 can be anything as long as you have an intresting number 10, and a well known number 1. And I dont think hogger is quiet strong enough as a number 10, so he's kinda in the middle with the rest of the fodder.

-6- Now back to the list with real lore characters, and number 6 will be Queen azshara. She is the reason we have warlocks and sargeres to worry about. Well actually it would probably be her advisor who told her about sargeres, but she is the one who put everything into action and is arguably the strongest mage to have ever lived. Remember how I said that title was debatable? well as canidates for strongest mage, We've got the queen herself, Aegwynn, Medivh, Jiana, and Current khadgar. I'll go ahead and throw jiana and Khadgar off the table right now, as they can't really hold a candle to Aegeynn. And that only leaves 3, but It's also widley excepted that Azshara was way more powerful than Aegeynn, even if there isnt a univeral consensus. And as for the queen vs medivh, well when he was being controled by sargeres its gets pretty murky on how strong he actually was, and he was able to defeat his mother Aegwynn, so in a bat off between Azshara and Sargeres controlled Medivh, that would be an intresting fight.

Ok, to get back on track. Why is the queen so influential? well, she pretty much started the war of the ancients to bring sargeres into azeroth that split the world into 4 continents. And is the queen on the naga and a potential expansion end boss in the future, as shes still alive and well with an army of naga, and old god backing her power, and, might have neptulon in her control. For those of you who dont know who neptulon is, hes like the ragnaros of water. So a pretty strong dude.

-5- Speaking of people powered by old gods, We've got Deathwing in here as number 5. Well I wouldnt say he was so much powered by old gods as much as driven insane by them. We're gonna have pretty much all of the end bosses of all the expansions on this list, in case you want to try and guess the villians coming up next.

Now Deathwhing, this guy, he was involved with a lot more stuff than just what happened in cataclysm. In addition to being the father of the second coolest character in wow (wrathion) He created the demon soul, a super powerful artifact that he tricked the other aspects into empowering under the guies that he was going to use it to stop the war of the aincets and close the giant portal. While it ultimatley did fulfil this purpose, deathwing did kill nearly the entire blue dragon flight before losing and running away. Then after some other shenanigans, the reaming 4 aspects made sure deathwing couldnt use the demon soul and hid it away until he found it 10,000 years later and led the orcs to it, who then used its power to control alexstraza and creat some neat dragon mounts for the horde during the 2nd war.

Then some stuff happened, deathwing went to outlands, fought khadgar, and wasnt heard from until the catacylsm expansion, where he decided to destroy a bunch of stuff and was killed by green jesus. I mean thrall and the 4 other aspects using the dragon soul they took from another timeline.

-4- Number 4 will be a combo pack with Archimonde and Kil'jeaden. I was orginally going to do both of them seperate, but then i was all like "nah I gotta fit hogger in somehwere". So anyway

So anyway, Kil'jeadan and archimonde and like Sargeres right hand men in the buring legion and are super powerful. Archimonde partipated in the war of the ancients 10,000 years ago and killed Malorne by snaping his neck. In case you dont know who he is, Malorne is the father of Cenarius, the creater of the druid class, and is like the god of nature. So that was a pretty big deal.

Then 10,000 years later he was summoned back to azeroth by arthas and immediatly blew up dalaran. Then went over to the world tree and got killed by wisps.

Kil'jeadan is the guy who gave the demon blood to gul'dan to give to the orcs which pretty much started everything. He also created the lich king by fusing Ner'zhul's soul to a suit of armor that allowed him to control zombies for some reason. He's also the reason illidan ran to outlands and why the whole buring crusade expansion happened. As well as being the final boss of that expansion, wehre you were bascially just trying to push him back through his portal.

-3- And number 3 on this list is Gul'dan. Cant have a villian list without mentioning this guy. Although to be fair, Kil'jeaden is totally more influential than Guldan. And so are some of the other characrters on this list below him. Well whatever, I already said I'm not really putting these guys in a proper order.

Gul'dan was kinda obssed with getting more power and boy did he ever. Its widely beleived he's the most powerful mortal warlock to ever exsist. Gul'dan tricked the orcs into drinking the demon blood and was like the Little Finger of the horde for a while. He was contacted by medivh to build a portal to azeroth in exchange for more power, which he happily did. Then during the first war, while he was inside medivhs mind, Medivh was killed which cause gul'dan to go into a coma. When he woke up, his puppet ruler was dead along with his shadow council. To not be killed by the new warchief he created the first deathknights by taking the souls of his dead men and putting them into the bodies of human knights.

He later died while trying to obtain the eye of sargeres, a super powerful artifact. But even after death he still caused trouble, because he was so strong that just holding his skull made wnyone who held it, like 10 times stronger. I think, I dont know, I made that number up. But khadgar does use the skull to destroy the dark portal in warcraft. Ner'zhul used it to pretty much turn outlands into what it is today. And illidan used it to become half demon and fight the lich king.

-2- Speaking of illidan, number 2 on this list is actually garrosh hellscream and not illidan, because hes number 1. Now garrosh, while maybe not as influential as all the villians below him, is a personal favorite of mine. I love that he went evil not because of going mad from demon stuff or old gods, but of his own free will. Even after absorbing the power of an old god, he was till the same ol asshole he always was, and uncorrupted. And at the end of his trial in warcrimes, after they spent a few hundred pages detailing all the terrible things he had done, his last words before his verdict was to laugh at everyone and say he'd do it all again if he could. Truley an unrepentent villian, he just wanted was he thought was best for the horde. Well the orcs anyway, he was kinda racist. But then again show me a race in wow that isnt racist. Hell even the most peaceful race the tauren think they're better than all the smaller races. Actually now that I think of it, drenai might be the least racist race, as their leader is like the gaundi of wow.

anyway back to garrosh, this guy has a pretty intresting story, and a pretty long one like every other character on this list. But this video is getting kind of long and I've already mentioned why I like this villian over all the other saturday morning cartoon villians on the list. Actually thats not fair, arthas is definitly a pretty cool villian too, so is gul'dan. that guy just wanted more power. And illidan, he just wanted tryande's love. Speaking of illidan.

-1- Number 1 on this list is the love struck villian himself, illidan. I guess you could say he was..not prepared..(obvious fake laughter). ok that wasnt even a good pun. If you dislike this video for that I totally understand. Now then, why do I have illidan at the top of the list? Well, I've already firmly established that I'm putting the characters in a random order many other times in the video so you shouldnt be all that surprised. What it really comes down to is my personal favorites now. And I persoanlly love illidans abbs. I mean look at them, its like hes does cross fit or something. Plus his tatoos just really make his muscles look even more refined. If I were to rate all the villians on this list in appearance, illidan would be like an 11 out of 10. Why tyrande picked malfurion over Illidan is probably the biggest mystery in wow. I mean, look at malfurion. He's got like dumb wings or some shit. Plus antlers and a gross green beard. And illidan gots the six pack of the centry, plus the coolest weapons in the game. If this was real life, theres no way in hell someone would pick malfurion over Illidan. Illidans just too hot.

So why is Illidan so influential? well compared to everyone else on this list, hes not really. I mean, hes influential enough to be on the list, but everyone else on this list has done more than him. Except hogger, he totally beats out hogger.

---end---

And thats it for my influential lore villians video. If you want to know more about any of the villians on this list, since I pretty much gave the cliff notes on their history, I suggest just watching one of Nobbel87's videos on any of these guys, since that guys goes into more detail than an encyclopedia. Plus hes got an awesome accent that makes your panties wet. I'd also like to thank Ethan Macauley for his wonderful help in research gathering. Really made writing this video like 10 times easier. And TobyWow for helping me edit. And of course, my patreon supporters for picking this video idea.
